ENGLISH FOR YOU-2 - am / is / are - QUESTION FORMS











This lesson consists with answers for the previous exercise about am, is and are.

IMPORTANT
 Introducing verb 'BE'.
'BE' is the most important verb in the English Language.
Do you know that? 
'BE' - Is used as the main verb.
'Be' - Is used as an auxiliary verb.
'BE' - Is used in the passive voice.

Please keep in your mind.
'BE' is the only verb in the English Language that has three conjugations in the simple present tense (am, is, are). All the other verbs have two conjugations in the simple present.

'BE' is the only verb that has two conjugations in the simple past tense. All other verbs have only one conjugation in the simple past.

am / is / are - question forms. 

How do we make questions? It is very easy.
Look at below explanation.

I am a teacher.- (sentence/with a full stop.)---> I am - change as 'Am I'.
Am I a teacher? - (question- with a question mark.)

You are a teacher.   -----> Are you a teacher?
He is a teacher.       ------> Is he a teacher?         
She is a dancer.      ------->Is she a dancer?
It is barking.          --------> Is it barking?
It is on the table.    --------> Is it on the table?   

 SENTENCES IN SINGULAR FORM
    

We are students. --------> Are we, students?
You are good children.  -------> Are you good children?
They are playing.   --------> Are they playing?

 SENTENCES IN PLURAL FORM    

There are main three steps to be followed when making questions from sentences with am, is and are.
1) The question to be started from the 'verb'(am/is/are).
2) The first letter should be capital.
3) The question has to be ended with the question mark.
